Green Coast Enterprises' 40 year history has always been marked by a spirit of enterprise, a culture of industry and a commitment to its people and partners.

1973: Abdul Ghaffar Hussain establishes a relationship with Jotun of Norway.

1975: The first Jotun factory in the Middle East opens in Dubai.

1976: Kangaroo Plastics, one of the region's first flexible packaging companies, is launched.

1977: Hepworth PME is established as a manufacturer and supplier of piping systems.

1977: Abdul Ghaffar Hussain establishes Green Coast Enterprises to consolidate his various industrial holdings.

1991: Hepworth PME opens its state of the art factory in Nad al Hamar.

1993: The Real Estate arm of the Group is launched.

2001: Hepworth PME establishes a manufacturing joint venture in Qatar.

2003: Emirates Technopack, a specialized packaging company, is launched.

2005: Restructuring of Hepworth's shareholding allowing Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Hussain and his family to retain full ownership.

2012: Green Coast Investments is established to manage the Group's existing market investments.

2014: Green Coast Enterprises establishes Corys Building Materials LLC to manage all of its construction and building materials businesses. At the same time, the new subsidiaries Corys Geosynthetics LLC and Corys Build Centre LLC were established to manage the geosynthetics and retail businesses respectively. In the same year, Abdul Ghaffar Industries LLC was established in Saudi Arabia.
