Abdul Ghaffar Hussain is a prominent, visionary UAE businessman. He started his career at the Dubai Municipality upon its foundation and soon became Deputy Director and represented the Municipality at several Global and Arabian conferences and seminars.

 

In 1977, Mr. Hussain established Green Coast Enterprises, a Group of companies with business interests in building materials, packaging and other manufacturing activities. Today, the Group employs over 1,000 employees across the GCC and has broaden its scope of activities to include Investments, Real Estate and Trading.

 

Abdul Ghaffar Hussain has a record full of national and humanitarian achievements. He was one of the early founders of Dubai Municipality, and has contributed to the development of its services for more than twenty years. He also founded, with his coworkers, the Dubai News Magazine, and was chosen as the UAE Cultural Personality of the Year in 1998. He was the chairperson of the Writers Union of the United Arab Emirates in 1987, 1989 and 1991. In addition, he chaired the Board of Trustees of Al Owais Cultural Award. Mr. Hussain has a strong presence in the local literary scene and media; he is a poet, writer, critic and is currently the Chairperson of the Emirates Human Rights Association. He is considered one the early founders of this association, where he has established the concept of volunteer work and the importance of defending the rights and human dignity of each individual.

 

In 2011, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has conferred the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cordon" on Abdul Ghaffar Hussain for his distinguished services to society and his immense contributions and participation towards humanitarian and social causes.

Mohammed has over 15 years experience in management, operations, strategy and investment banking in the Middle East and Europe. He started his career with ABN Amro, where he spent 5 years as a member of the bank's leveraged finance Group in London.


In addition to his role in Green Coast Enterprises, Mohammed is the founding partner of Convenience Arabia LLC, the franchise for Circle K convenience stores in the GCC.

 

Mohammed holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Group Chief Financial Officer

Mattia specializes in investment advisory, general management and corporate strategy. He has spent the past 17 years working on a wide variety of engagements and projects, both in Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Green Coast Enterprises, Mattia co-founded Oceanis Partners and he focused on private equity investments in the aquatic resources sector, advising various categories of clients: family offices, institutional investors and private companies.

Prior to Oceanis, Mattia was with Booz & Company's Dubai office, focusing mainly on the transportation and logistics sectors. He advised government entities and private companies throughout the MENA region on their development strategies, also reshaping their operating models and organizational structures.

Mattia earned his MBA from Spain's IESE Business School and a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Italy's Politecnico di Torino.

Prior to joining Corys Building Materials in 2017, Gaëtan held different positions with leading international organisations and has built extensive knowledge of international and local markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Northern America across various sectors.
 
Gaëtan holds a Master’s Degree in Management with a Major in Marketing and International Business from Burgundy School of Business in France, and supplemented his initial education with an Executive Master in Business Administration from London Business School, with an emphasis on Strategy, Finance and Operations.

Sherif has a proven track record as a results oriented executive with extensive strategic business development and operational experience gained through working with multinational and international companies. He has managed large-scale operations spanning across oil extraction and refinery, FMCG manufacturing and packaging, chemical industry, milling operations, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical businesses.

Tamer Adel prior to joining Green Coast Enterprises has worked for multiple large scale commercial groups, family owned businesses and FMCG manufacturers in the Middle East region during the last 18 years, with his last two assignments over the past twelve years being with SBK Holding LLC and International Foodstuff Company (IFFCO). In his role Tamer spearheaded the legal function and represented these companies in a variety of business activities, developed and implemented effective legal structures, and established healthy processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations while cultivating professional relationships with all relevant bodies.
